AnswerFirst sets up a holiday gift collection box to help collect toys for the Champions for Children Holiday Store.
AnswerFirst Communications, an international telephone answering service and customer service solutions company specializing in answering services, virtual receptionist and call center solutions, announced this week that they are setting up a collection box for the Champions For Children Holiday Store at AnswerFirst Corporate Headquarters in Tampa, FL.
According to their website, Champions For Children (formerly the Child Abuse Council) has been helping children and strengthening families through prevention, education and treatment programs since 1977. The organization is guided by a voluntary board with diverse professional and cultural backgrounds and, over the years, this board, members of the organization and volunteers have helped thousands of families throughout Hillsborough County by providing education, prevention and treatment programs. Through these programs, parents receive hands-on training, support and the information needed to face the many challenges and pleasures of raising healthy, happy and well-adjusted children. Champions For Children is an accredited agency that operates in accordance with nationally defined best practice standards and consistently strives to deliver superior services to children and families.
According to literature from Champions For Children, the CFC Holiday Store provides parents and caregivers who are in need of assistance during the holidays a place to “shop” for their children for free. Last year, 686 children and 290 families visited their Santa Workshops and selected new toys. The Holiday Store & Santa Workshops are made possible by businesses that sign-up to be donation box locations and ask their employees to help by getting involved, donating and volunteering.
Teri Erickson, Business Development Specialist at AnswerFirst said,
Champions For Children and AnswerFirst both envision a world where children are no longer abused and strong families are central to the success of our communities. CFC’s history has shown that this goal is attainable and we’re seeing their mission fulfilled each and every day – working with real families and real children to make a difference in our community. We collected a lot of great toys for the children last year and I hope we have a good turnout again this year.”
